Dreamly AI Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Dreamly AI. By downloading, accessing, browsing, or using the Dreamly AI mobile application or associated web services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Dreamly AI is a mobile application and informational platform designed for personal dream exploration, dream journaling, pattern discovery, and artificial intelligence-assisted dream interpretations on Android. The Service enables users to record dream memories via text or voice notes, categorize dream themes, review recurring patterns, and receive structured AI reflections.

Dreamly AI is designed as a calm, reflective companion tool for self-exploration and personal journaling; it is not a generic chatbot or conversational agent.

3. AI-Generated Content

Certain features of Dreamly AI utilize artificial intelligence models (such as large language models) to generate natural-language reflections, symbol associations, and possible interpretations based on the dream descriptions provided by the user.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated interpretations are computational reflections generated from pattern recognition and natural-language processing; they are inherently subjective, experimental, and generalized.
• AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, speculative, or unsuitable for your specific circumstances.
• You must exercise your own independent judgment, common sense, and personal evaluation when reviewing any AI-generated interpretation or reflection.

4. No Medical or Psychological Diagnosis

The Service and its generated outputs must NOT be construed, relied upon, or used as:

• A medical or psychological diagnosis.
• A treatment plan, therapy, or clinical intervention.
• Professional mental-health advice or psychiatric evaluation.
• A substitute for consultation with a licensed physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, or healthcare provider.

If you are experiencing psychological distress, severe recurring nightmares, sleep disorders, or mental health challenges, please consult a qualified healthcare professional. If you are experiencing a medical or psychological emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.

5. User Content & Ownership

You retain all rights and ownership in the dream narratives, notes, voice recordings, ratings, tags, and other content you create and enter into the application ("User Content"). Dreamly AI does not claim ownership over your content.

Your dream journal entries and voice memos are stored locally on your personal device. When you choose to request an AI interpretation, your dream text and relevant tags are sent to our backend service solely to generate and deliver the requested interpretation. Dreamly AI processes this submitted content only as necessary to provide the requested functionality and does not use it to claim ownership of your work.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Dreamly AI solely for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
• Attempt to probe, scan, breach, or circumvent the security, rate limits, or authentication measures of the backend infrastructure.
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service, servers, or connected networks.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code of the Service, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
• Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or tools to access or harvest data from the Service without express permission.

7. Intellectual Property

The Dreamly AI application, website, logos, visual designs, brand assets, source code, documentation, dream encyclopedia articles, and original editorial content are the exclusive intellectual property of Dreamly AI and its licensors, protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the application on your personal Android device.

8. Advertising

The free version of the Dreamly AI mobile application may display banner or interstitial advertisements served through Google AdMob. Ad display and measurement operate in compliance with Google AdMob policies and our Privacy Policy.

9. Service Availability & Modifications

We strive to provide a reliable and consistent experience. However, we reserve the right to modify, update, temporarily suspend, or discontinue any feature, service endpoint, or aspect of the Service at any time without prior notice or liability.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service and all AI-generated content are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

Dreamly AI expressly disclaims all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, quiet enjoyment, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or that AI-generated interpretations will meet your expectations or requirements.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dreamly AI, its developers, operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages—including loss of data, loss of goodwill, emotional distress, or personal decisions made based on AI output—arising out of or related to your access to, use of, or inability to use the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable consumer protection law.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed in accordance with applicable laws, without giving effect to conflict of law principles that would require the application of the laws of another jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect product enhancements, legal updates, or service changes. When revisions are made, the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms will be revised accordingly.
